M5 Junction 27, Tiverton, Atlantic Highway A361 bypassing
Barnstaple and Bideford taking the A39 towards Bude signposted Camelford.
Follow the A39 through the roundabout at Clovelly Cross and ignore all
Hartland turnings. Continue past the Highway Chef (Greenfields) on your
left, approx 2 miles, onto the open moorland. As you rise to the top
of the moor take a right turn on the sharpe left bend just before the
West Country Inn signposted Elmscott. Go over the moor and take the
first left towards Lutsford and at Lutsford Farm continue straight across
at the right hand bend. Follow this road for approx 500 yards and Lower
Wembsworthy is on your left. Click

Surfing There are numerous
surfing hotspots located within the local area, from Widemouth Bay to
Croyde Bay. Big Blue Surf
School, located in Bude offers surfing lessons.

Horse Riding Gooseham
Riding Stables is located nearby, with facilities for beginners,
intermediate and experienced riders. Beginners have short rides: - 30
minutes costs £10; 1 hour costs £18; and 2 hours cost £34. Longer rides
for experienced riders and American Western style rides are available
for an extra £3 per hour.

Clovelly - A must for
visitors to North Devon. This unique village built into the hillside
has just one main cobbled street descending to a 16 th century quay.
Quaint, picturesque cottage line the street, vehicular access is impossible,
and sledges or donkeys the only means of transport through the village.
Visitor parking is available at the top of the village at the Heritage
Centre. For those unable, or inclined not to, make the return climb,
for a small fee a Landrover ferries visitors back to the top via a back
road.

Hartland
Abbey - The site of a 12th century
Augustinian monastery which remained for 400 years and now the 18th
century home of the Stucley family. Beautifully restored gardens and
a woodland walk to Atlantic Cove and some spectacular scenery. Abbey
